Lester Barlow

Lester L. “LL” Barlow, a lifelong resident of the Holley Community passed away peacefully at his home Friday, August 4, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 84. He was born December 5, 1932, in Holley, the oldest of 4 children, to his parents Andrew M. and Nancy D. Barlow. His presence, humor, hugs and gentle voice will forever be missed! He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Lowell T. Barlow. LL is survived by his wife of 47 years, Martha Barlow; children, Terrie (David) Nixon, Gail Barlow and Andrew Barlow; grandchildren, Dakota Barlow, Tyge Nelson, Sammy Nixon and Auburn Nixon, brother, Douglas M. Barlow; sister, Helen (Jack) Fitzgibbons; a lifelong friend, best buddy, fishing partner and co-agitator, Richard McLaughlin, and his patient wife, Carolyn, and their son, Allen; and many nieces, nephews and cousins, that love him dearly. Visitation will be held Monday, August 7, 2017; beginning at 5:00 p.m. for the family, and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for friends; at Billory Baptist Church in Holley, Florida. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Billory Baptist Church. Interment will follow services in Harper Cemetery, with Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre, directing.
