Lewis C. “Johnny” Whidden Sr., 55, of Navarre, Florida, went home to be with our Lord on April 14, 2017. He served his country with honor and distinction in the U.S. Air Force for 26 years. After his military service, he continued his work with Civil Service at Hurlburt Field. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, mentor and confident to many, we will all miss him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Henry E Whidden Jr; and mother, Jennie L Whidden.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda F Whidden; two sons, Lewis C (Shea) Whidden Jr. and Joshua L Whidden; two sisters, Jennie L Rogers and Aleria M (Steve) Mewborn; two brothers, Henry E Whidden III and Charles D Whidden; eight grandchildren; a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, many extended family members, his Masonic family, and his military family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre Chapel. Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
