Lloyd Ledbetter Obituary

Don Ledbetter was born on July 29, 1933 in Flea Hop, Alabama. He went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Pam Ledbetter; six children, Donnie Ledbetter, Tony Ledbetter, Sue Ledbetter Hutchinson, Lisa Ledbetter Lesley and Tracy Ledbetter Carlisle; stepson, Joey Barry; 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Don served our country for 24 years in the US Navy. After "retiring" as a Chief, he served 20 years at the Midway Fire Department as Deputy Chief, and as Manager at Midway Water System. He served as the Commissioner for Civil Defense Search and Rescue. He also started the Junior Scouts for this area. He was an active member and Deacon Emeritus at New Life Baptist Church and served his Lord in many positions here. Don was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at New Life Baptist Church in Milton. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, has been entrusted with arrangements.
