Lounette Kellum Perry, age 89, went suddenly to be with her Lord and Savior on October 21, 2012. She was eldest of ten children and a native of Limestone County, Alabama who had resided in Milton, Florida for the past 52 years.
Lounette, known as “Mama Lou” by her family and friends, was an avid gardener, an excellent cook, a prayer warrior, and a true Southern Lady.
Lounette is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Kenneth “Ou-Ou” Perry; her parents; and five siblings.
Survivors include; 1 son-Stephen (Carol) Perry of Leominster, MA; 1 daughter, Kathy (Ed) Nettles of Milton; 3 grandchildren, Heather (Louis) Cassida of Pace, Kellum (Mark) Kirchharr of Pace and Meredith Nettles of Washington, DC; 4 great-grandchildren, Savannah and Loc Cassida, Ty and Jaxson Kirchharr; 3 sisters, Eva Davis of Elkmont, AL, Betty Sulcer of Milton, and Joyce Walker of Nashville, TN; 1 brother, Charles Kellum of Anthony, FL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, October 26, 2012 at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton with Rev. Claine Roberts, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday night at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Tony Gentry, Ken Merritt, Don Nettles, Daniel Saba, Nick Saba, and David Winkles.
Burial will follow in the Memory Park Cemetery in Milton.
