Luther Elliott

Luther Elliott, 76, died on September 17, 2016 at his home in Milton, Florida, after a lengthy illness. There will be a private memorial service in the near future. Luther Elliott was born on the April 19, 1940, in Milton, Florida, to Eva Mae and Maxwell Elliott. He owned and operated Elliott Logging since 1959. He married Priscilla Windham on November 21, 1959. They raised six sons. Luther enjoyed competing in boat racing in his earlier years and had won a National Championship. Luther was known to be one of the hardest working men around and had a strong and caring heart. He truly loved his family and friends and took a lot of pride in his grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Elliott; and his brother, Glen, and sister-in-law, Annette. Luther is survived by his wife, Priscilla; five sons, Jeff (Lisa), Doug (Angela), Scott (Marissa), Pat, and Joe (Kristi); brother, Lynn (Frances) Elliott; sister, Shirley (Doyce) Cooke; seven grandkids; eight great-grandkids; and many nieces and nephews. Luther left this world peacefully with his favorite girls that he always referred to as “Paw Paw’s girls”, Makenzie and Makayla, by his side. Luther truly left a mark in everyone’s heart and will truly be missed. Heaven has a new angel, but we still have him in our hearts. We would like to thank Emerald Coast Hospice and Lewis Funeral Home for the love and care they showed to our loved one.
