Margaret Fay Faircloth Obituary

Margaret Fay Faircloth, 88, of Pace, Florida, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.


Margaret was born in Brewton, Alabama, February 23, 1927, to Norman James Brackin and Annie Mae (Jernigan) Brackin.


She lived in and attended school in Century before moving to Pensacola in 1945.


Margaret began working at St Regis Paper Company as a paper tester in March of 1945. She soon met Nelson and they were married in November of 1947. She and her husband moved from Pensacola to Pace in May of 1953. They attended Immanuel Baptist Church for many years. Margaret was a member of the Prayer Partners Sunday School Class.


She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Melton Nelson Faircloth, Sr.; her parents, Norman James Brackin and Annie Mae (Jernigan) Brackin; and her brother, James Mason Brackin.


She is survived by her children: Teresa Jean Crandall (Jim), Melton Nelson Faircloth, Jr. (Debbie), and Carolyn Faye Berrian (Bill); eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother John Brackin (Betty); and two sisters Marie Diamond and Frances King (Bo).


Funeral Services will be held at 6:30 p.m., on Friday, January 8, 2016, at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Milton, with Rev. Josh Wilson and Rev. Clain Roberts officiating. The family will begin receiving friends at the Lewis Funeral Home in Milton at 5:00 p.m., on Friday, prior to services.


Burial will be at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Serenity Gardens Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing.


The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Building Program at Immanuel Baptist Church in Pace, Florida.


The family wishes to extend their appreciation for the special care provided by Dr. James Watkins, the Sacred Heart Hospital Oncology staff and Covenant Hospice.
