Magarette was born in Tuscaloosa on June 18, 1933. She was preceded in death by her parents Neal and Erma Smith Busby. Survivors include her husband, Jackie L. Maness, Sr., daughter Judy Johnson, (Bo) of Pensacola, Florida. Son Carl Maness of Opelika, Alabama. Daughter, Lisa Murphy (Bob) of Vance, Alabama. Son Jackie Maness, Jr. (Celiana) of Orlando, Florida. Brother, Travis Busby (Shirley) of Camden, Tennessee. Grandchildren, Justin Johnson (Katie), Margarette Johnson, Wesley Maness, Melanie Maness. Brother-in-laws Danny Maness (Betty) of Tuscaloosa, Robert Maness of Vance, Alabama, Andy Maness of Atlanta, Georgia. Many nephews and nieces. A loving pet "Buddy". Margarette was a devoted employee of many special jobs. She was a Lighting Consultant for Cole Supply Company in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Employee of Scenic Hills Country Club Golf Shop with husband PGA Golf Professional Jackie, in Pensacola, Florida. Employed by Direct Lighting of Pensacola, Florida. Employed as Office Manager for Pensacola Sports Association, Pensacola, Florida. Partner/Owner of Pin Oaks Golf Course in Auburn, Alabama. She was General Manager and Board Member of Lee and Macon County Water Authority. She was Mat re 'D of Victoryland Race Track in Macon County Alabama where she retired after 25 years of dedicated service. Visitation will be at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park and Chapel on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Service will be at 3:00 following the visitation and burial at the conclusion of the service. The pallbearers will be grandsons, Justin Johnson, Wesley Maness, Nephews, Neal Busby, David Busby, Brother-in-laws, Danny Maness, Robert Maness, Andy Maness and special friend Christopher Fluehr. Honorary pallbearers are Milton McGregor, Jim Baker, Employees and staff of Victoryland and Macon County Race Track, members and staff of Dixie Section of PGA of America and Staff of Joyce Goldenberg Impatient Residence.
