Elaine Madden, aged 61, of Milton, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. She was born in Circleville, Ohio, and was a graduate of Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida. She was employed by WXBM 102.7, the Pensacola News Journal, WEAR 3 TV, and Red Roof Inn. Elaine was preceded in death by her father, Richard Leppla of Lima, Ohio; her uncles, Wilbur Trotman, James Law-rence, Dale Leppla and Ron Miskell; and her aunt, Marilyn Lawrence. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Harry Madden; a daughter, Jamie (Shon) Congleton of Molino, Florida; and two sons, Jimbo Rhymes of Pensacola, Florida, and Ryan Madden of Milton, Florida. She is also survived by her mother Sue (Don) Greeley of Tallahassee, Florida; her brother, Kymn (Bobbi) Walter of Denver, Colorado; her sister, Michelle (Ron) French of Tallahassee, Florida; her brother-in-law, Howard (Dorothy) West of Red Level, Alabama; her brother-in-law, Danny West of Andalusia, Alabama; her brother-in-law, Keith (Cheryl) Madden of Milton, Florida; two granddaughters, Skyler Rhymes of Miramar, Florida, and Katawna Rhymes of Orlando, Flori-da; fourteen aunts and uncles, Leroy (Dot) Trotman, Pat Cheshire, John (Shirley) Trotman, Joyce Wages, Joan (Gary) Stout, Rodney (Edith) Trotman, Daisey (Ian) Barker, Peggy Leppla and Sharron Miskell; and thirteen nieces and nephews, Jake Walter, Ryan Walter, Julie Walter, Neil French, Roger (Jennifer) French, Shaun (Amie) French, Sabrina (Adam) Cobb, Douglas West, Jessica West, Jimbo West, Timbo West, Amanda Flores, and Daniel (Tara) Madden. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 15, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel (6405 Hwy. 90 West, Milton, Florida 32570) with Bryan Adams officiating. Burial will follow services in the Gonzalez United Methodist Church Cemetery (2026 Pauline Street, Cantonment, Florida 32533). Family visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., and public visitation will be held 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., prior to the services. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff of the ICU Unit at Sacred Heart Hospital for the love and care they gave Elaine during her brief time there.
