Marlene Imogene Herbstreith, age 66, passed away on September 15, 2015, to join her friends and family in heaven after battling cancer for over three years. Marlene was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on July 26, 1949, to Wilma and Gilbert Ashley. Marlene thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, camping and horseback riding throughout her life. Most importantly, she enjoyed being in the company of friends and family. She was a devoted mother of three and wife of thirty-three years. Marlene was known to constantly commit acts of selflessness and always put others needs before her own. She was an avid animal lover and never turned a blind eye to an animal in need. She was a teacher of love, hope and strength and was an inspiration to all that knew her. Marlene is survived by her husband Bob, her daughter Ashley, and her two sons Gene and Bobby. Visitation will be held at Lewis Funeral Home Navarre Chapel (7794 Navarre Pkwy, Navarre, FL 32566) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 21, 2015. Graveside Services will follow at Beal Memorial Ceremony, 316 Beal Pkwy, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548 at 2:00 p.m.
