Martha Gunn Davis August 23, 1939 – April 14, 2015 Martha "Marty" Gunn Davis, 75, peacefully went to live with her heavenly Father on the morning of April 14, 2015. She will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Martha was born in Milton and grew up in Bagdad, Florida, with her Mother, her five sisters and one brother. She graduated from Milton High School in 1957. She had a career in chemical sales at Air Products in Pace, Florida. She has been a long-time member and worker at Christian Life Church, and was a wonderful wife, mother and sister. Marty used her passion for the theater to minister the love of Christ throughout her life. She mentored countless young women and was the catalyst that helped them achieve their goals. She created a home that was a haven and her steadfastness was the bedrock that supported many. She brought love, food and joy to everyone she met. Her life made a difference. She is preceded in death by her parents, David Michael Gunn and Pauline Gunn Henrickson; and four sisters, Polly Sarvis, Mary Mascarenhas, Delia Pennington and Nancy McCaleb. Marty is survived by her husband of 40 years, William Franklin Davis; her son, David A. Ferguson (Kathy), and her granddaughters, Ashley and Erica; her daughter, Julia P. Thomas (Todd) and her grandchildren Zane and Erin; her sister, Josie Sheffield-Tinsley; her brother, Phillip Gunn; numerous nieces and nephews; and her step-son Max Davis (Sherry).
