Mary Nell Adkison, 80, of Milton passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014. She was a long-time resident of Milton and retired from Monsanto. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buran and Ava Nell Wisenbaker; brothers Grover and Ronald Wisenbaker, all from Valdosta Georgia; her first husband, Carroll Dumas; and husband, Lelon M. Adkison. She is survived by her son, Mervin Dumas; daughter, Gennie (Ted Smith); 2 special grandchildren close to her heart, Jennifer Higdon (Brandy Higdon) and Jordan Dumas; a very special great-grandson whom she adored, Grayson Higdon; her sister, Blanche Hogan, of Hahira, Georgia, whom she loved very much; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who were in her thoughts always. Also, John Adkison (Diane), David Adkison (Ida) and Tina Turner (Jay). A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
