Mary Ellen Blackman, 70, of Navarre, Florida, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016. She was born in Decatur, Alabama, and was a graduate of Pensacola High School. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Dean Blackman Sr.; her mother, Betty Ross Blackman; and her father, Dan Blackman. She is survived by her son, Carl Dean Blackman Jr. and his wife Star; one daughter; her granddaughter and caregiver, Tiffani Smith and her husband Bobby Smith; her five grandsons, Tyler Taber, Gary Lippincott, Joshua Lippincott, Nicholas Blackman, and Gabriel Blackman; one great-granddaughter, Sadie Smith. She is also survived by four brothers, Bill McDonald and his wife Beth, Dave Blackman and his wife Evelyn, Paul Blackman, and John Blackman and his wife Sharon. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel, with Bro. Alan Stewart officiating. Burial will follow services in Whitmire Cemetery in Pensacola. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., prior to the services. The family would like to thank Dr. Sullivan, Dr. Razek, and Covenant Hospice, for the love and care given for Mary. Also, thank you to the staff of Lewis Funeral Home.
