Mary A. Brown, 87, of Navarre, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Mary was born in Mendenhall, Mississippi; and graduated from Raleigh High School, Raleigh, Mississippi, and the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. She was a retired dietician of 45 years, having worked in Mississippi, Georgia, and Indiana. Mary was a member of Navarre United Methodist Church and a volunteer at Gulf Breeze Hospital. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Brown; her parents, Shelby and Mary Harrison; brothers, Lamar Harrison and Robert Harrison; sister, Mattie Mae Lyle; her stepson, David Brown; and step-grandsons Ryan Garner and Robert White. She is survived by her step-children, Debbie (Donnie) Garner, Tim (Karol) Brown, and Tom Brown; five step-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Harrison and Shelby (Betty) Harrison; and numerous nieces and nephews. At Mary’s request, a service will not be conducted. Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre, has been entrusted with arrangements.
