Mary Jane Luck, born January 18, 1948, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014. She was a native of Jackson, Mississippi and one of three children born to the late Patricia and Ottis Cook. Mary Jane earned an undergraduate degree from Mississippi College and also a graduate degree from Webster University. Mary Jane was a strong Christian and a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her sweet disposition inspired those who knew her, even through her illness. She always found time for a kind word, a gift, or an act of kindness and used her talents to create many handmade keepsakes that are cherished by those who were close to her. Mary Jane is survived by Eugene, her husband of 42 years, and their daughter, Brittany Luck, a brother, Bill (Judy) Moser, a sister, Sue Cook, and Sue’s children Kristin (Ian) Smith and Patrick Luckett, to whom she was very close, as well as Jo Ann Schaper, Barbara (John) Norvell, Linda (Bob) Munsterman, six nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends. Visitation and funeral services for Mary Jane will be held at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. The visitation will be Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 6-8 PM, and funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 with Rev. Jon DuBois, officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 2 PM. The family would like to thank the many caregivers, clergy, and friends whose prayers, love, and support made Mary Jane’s final time comfortable and filled with love and kindness. We pray that God richly blesses each of you.
