Maxine Polk Maxson, age 75, of Milton, Florida, passed peacefully at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida, on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Maxine was born in Milton, Florida, on August 20, 1943, and continued to live in Milton till her passing. She was predeceased by her mother, Ruth Polk; father, Charles “Cooter” Polk; and her son, Dennis Maxson, Jr. Maxine is survived by her son, Michael Maxson and his wife Jane; daughter, Michelle Morio and her husband Edward; four grandchildren, Dennis Maxson and his wife Rachel, Megan Maxson, Jonathan Cotton and his wife Amber, and Jacob Morio; eight great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Malcom “Ray” Polk, Bobby Jo Polk, Vernell Beaty, Joyce Schroeder and Judy Vincent. We will never forget her unconditional love, support, strength and courage throughout her life. We are eternally proud and thankful to call her Momma, Grandma, Sister and Aunt. Funeral Services, celebrating Maxine’s life, will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel (6405 Hwy 90 West, Milton, Florida 32570.) Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., prior to the service.
