Milton Wilson Obituary

Milton “Don “Doc” Wilson, 77, of Allentown, died suddenly on Thursday, August 11, 2016. Milton was born to Robert M. and Leila Wilson, on April 20, 1939, in Evergreen, Alabama. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy, and later worked in the missile field for Raytheon and other government contractors, in Saudi Arabia, for many years. He was an avid reader, a “dyed-in-the-wool” Crimson Tide and Atlanta Braves fan. You can be sure, he’ll be yelling “Roll Tide” from up above when the season starts. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Emmanuel, Robert Jr., Woodrow, and Herman; and two sisters, Emma Jean and Corene. Milton is survived by his longtime love and companion, Susan Polk; son, Daniel; two daughters, Melanie and Candy; twin brother, Mahlon; two sisters, Dorothy and Mary; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Rev. Mike Poston officiating. Burial will be in the Berrydale Community of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., prior to the services.
