Morgan Baker, 96 of Allentown, FL passed away February 10, 2014 at home. Morgan was born in Loango, AL on Oct. 30, 1917: He was a retired farmer and a former chairman of the ASC committee. He served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Farm Bureau and was the first farm manager at the Florida Experiment Station. Morgan was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 56 years and was a Deacon Emeritus. He lived in Santa Rosa County most of his life and was also a member of the Scratch Ankle Camping Club. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Edna Son, Steve (Mary Ann) Baker Step-son, David (Ramona) Hart Step-daughter, Janice (Durward) Baker Granddaughters, Susan (Stoney) Kelly & Jan Brown Grandsons, Brad (Valarie) Baker & Keith Baker Step-granddaughters, Lisa (Mike) Utke & Jessica Hart Step-grandsons, Jeremy Hart, Woody Baker, & Mathew (Crystal) Baker 14 Grandchildren 4 Great-grandchildren He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Son and Daughter-in-law, Brady & Shirley Baker Parents, A.L. & Belle Baker 1 brother & 1 sister The family will receive friends on Thursday at 1:00pm at Calvary Baptist Church with the funeral to follow at 2:00pm. Burial will be in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Lewis Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Bro. Ladon Hall will be officiating the service. Jimmy Ward, Keith Jones, Lynn Jones, Charlie Bowers, Roy Neely and Randolph Sutton (?) will serve as pallbearers. Kent Bowers, James Ward, Willard Davis, and Jesse Lassiter will serve as honorary pallbearers.
