Naomi Mae “Nanny” Hancock, 82, of Milton, Florida, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Naomi was born May 24, 1936, in Dupo, Illinois, lived in the community of Bixby, and was a graduate of Dupo High School. She was a daughter, sister, sister-in-law, military wife, mother, Nanny, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked in retail service all of her career. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Nora (Smith) Krack; husband, Nelson E. Hancock; her brothers and sisters; and her grandsons, Sean Samples and Michael Hancock Jr. Naomi is survived by her children, Danny Hancock, Bruce (Martha) Hancock, Mike (Delila) Hancock, Rhonda (Lee) Willard; grandchildren, Chelsea (Keith) Longmire, John (Kimberly) Hancock, Sjianna Hancock, Haley Hancock, Heath Hancock and Claire Willard; great-grandchildren, Xavier Hancock, Kolbe Longmire, Alexiya Leach, Koltyn Longmire, Laura Mae Hancock and Kenleigh Longmire; and relatives, Rex (Carol) Hancock, Janie (Ray) Fischer, Billy (Terry) Hancock; as well as, her many nieces and nephews in Illinois and Alabama. Visitation will be held 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at Barrancas National Cemetery, onboard Pensacola Naval Air Station. Pallbearers are Danny Hancock, Bruce Hancock, Mike Hancock, Lee Willard, John Hancock, Keith Longmire, and Heath Hancock.
