Patsy Fleming

Patsy Ates Fleming, age 83, passed away peacefully July 5, 2017, at Santa Rosa Rehabilitation. She was born in Milton, Florida, September 23, 1934. She lived most of her life in Santa Rosa County. Ms. Fleming was employed with Santa Rosa County School Board as the secretary to the Superintendent for over 30 years. While living at the bay she enjoyed fishing and working in the yard. She mostly enjoyed shopping with her daughter and granddaughter. She was a wonderful cook and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Milton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Julia Ates; and her daughter, Diann Gillis. She is survived by her son, Roger Fleming; son-in law, Greg Gillis and his wife Elaine; three grandchildren, Matthew Gi llis, Rachel (Gillis) Lomoriello and her husband Paul, and Andrew Gillis and his wife Ashley; and three great-grandchildren, Luke, Daniel and Ruth. Many thanks to all the nurses at Pruitt Rehabilitation, Santa Rosa Rehabilitation and the staff at Covenant Care for taking such phenomenal care of her. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Dr. David Spencer officiating. Burial will follow services in Milton Cemetery. Pallbearers: Matt Gillis, Andrew Gillis, Paul Lomoriello, John David Elliott, Scotty Adams and Neil Baker Visitation will be held 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., prior to the service.
