Paul I. Revere, age 84, of Navarre, Florida, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016. Mr. Revere was born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, on January 21, 1932, the son of Paul “George” and Beatrice (Berube) Revere. Paul grew up in St. Johnsbury and Walden, Vermont. He attended St. Johnsbury Academy before the family moved to Walden. From 1949 to 1952 he served in the U.S. Army, including a tour of duty in Korea during the Korean War from September 1950 to November 1951. After returning home in June of 1952, he met the love of his life, Beverly Fuller. A year later they were married on July 4, 1953. During the early years of their marriage they were blessed with four children. From the beginning to the present they have been a strong and close family, which is something Paul and his wife had always enjoyed. During his lifetime Paul and his wife have lived in several states, including Vermont, California, Virginia, Georgia, and finally, since 1986, in Navarre, Florida. Paul’s main occupation has been electronic technician, and later sales. He was predeceased by his wife, Beverly (Fuller) Revere in November of 2007, after 54 years of marriage. He is also predeceased by his sister, Priscilla Racine, in 2016; his mother, Beatrice McCue, in 1994; and his father, George Revere, in 1989. Survivors include three daughters, Paula & husband Jim Fisher in Atlanta, Georgia, Kathy & husband Bobby Gates, in Lexington, Kentucky, Laura & husband Roger “Rusty” Leonard in Navarre, Florida; and one son, James Revere & wife Dianne in Holley, Florida. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren; and one brother, David & wife Nadine McCue in Tampa, Florida, (formerly of Sutton, Vermont). Visiting hours will be held at Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre, on Thursday morning, October 13, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola NAS, Pensacola, Florida, at 2:00 p.m. Lewis Funeral Home, 7794 Navarre Pkwy, Navarre, Florida, has been entrusted with arrangements.
