Perry Franklin Barlar, 64, of Milton, FL passed away on March 24, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Perry was born in Enterprise, Alabama on April 29, 1948 to James E. and Marie Kirkland Barlar and was raised in Pensacola. He served in Vietnam from 1968-69 with the 101st Airborne Division and retired from IBEW after 43 years. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Alice Dianne Barlar (Lesueur); sister, Pamela Mitchell (Ron) of Pensacola, FL; son, Travis (Robin) of Tallahassee, FL; son, Johnnie (Shawna) of Cleveland, TN; daughter, Jena, Milton, FL; and his grandchildren, Randy, Brayden, Jacob, Eva, Lela and Dax. The family would like to thank Dr. Tan, Covenant Hospice and the wonderful compassionate staff. Visitation will be Friday, March 29, 2013 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at Lewis Funeral Home Pace Chapel, followed by the Memorial Service at 1:00 pm.
