Reid Morrow

Reid Morrow, 77, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017. He was a graduate of Mt. Ulla High School, and attended Appalachian State Teacher’s College. He was a member of the U.S. National Guard. Reid was a graduate of the South Carolina Commission for the Blind, where he learned chair caning, pottery, and jewelry making. He is preceded in death by his brother, Morris Morrow; mother, Sara Morrow; and father, Carl Morrow. Reid is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lynn Newlin Morrow, of Gulf Breeze, Florida; brother, Alec Morrow, of Montgomery, Alabama; daughter, Julie Jones (Kevin Jones), of Navarre, Florida; son, David Morrow (Alicia Morrow), of Charleston, South Carolina; and three grandchildren, Brandyn Jones, Grant Morrow, and Alden Morrow. The family would like to thank the staff of the Beacon at Gulf Breeze, Florida; Emerald Coast Hospice; Sylvia, of Covenant Care Hospice; Dr. Allison Curtsinger, at Baptist Medical; and Dr. Inclan, at The Woodlands; for the love and care given to their husband and father during this time. Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre, has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of gifts, the family requests memorial donations be made to the South Carolina Commission for the Blind or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
