Richard White

Richard Paine White, 66, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, passed away on August 20, 2016, at his home. He was born on July 25, 1950, in Panama City, Florida, and graduated from Bay County High School in the Class of 1967. He went on to graduate from the University of West Florida with a degree in Criminology. He worked as a beverage agent with the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco and later as a private investigator. Richard is survived by a daughter, Claire P. White, of Crestview, Florida. He is also survived by his mother, Carolyn M. White, of Port St. Joe, Florida; brothers, Hugh White III (Patsy) of Palatka, Florida, and Robert White (Sherri) of Interlachen, Florida; sisters, B. Claire White of Marianna, Florida, and Carole White Bee (Ed) of Mandeville, Louisiana; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Hugh White, Jr. Richard enjoyed politics and spirited discussions, and he was a supporter of “Fighting Fathers of District 1” which was “dedicated to the proposition that all children are best nurtured when they have unfettered access to both parents.” He also enjoyed electronics, photography, reading, and spending time with friends. He will be greatly missed. Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre, has been entrusted with arrangements.
