Richard Whittington

Richard Curtis “Ricky” Whittington, 58, of Pace, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017. Ricky was born December 4, 1958. He was a native of Mississippi and attended Caledonia High School and Golden Triangle Vocational School. Ricky was a carpenter by trade and a musician at heart. He resided in Pace, Florida, for the last year and a half of his life, and attended Wallace Baptist Church. Ricky is predeceased by his parents, Joe Curtis Whittington and Marion Elsie (Gradwohl) Whittington. He is survived by his sister, Lynn Ann Whittington (Terry) Cook; and one brother, James Craig “Bo” (Cindy) Whittington; one niece; two nephews; and one great-niece. Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Wallace Baptist Church (6601 Chumuckla Hwy., Pace, Florida 32571), with Rev. Andy Martin officiating. Interment will be in Elizabeth Chapel Community Cemetery, Chumuckla. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, has been entrusted with arrangements. Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., prior to the service. The family wishes to thank the staff of Baptist Hospital ICU and SINU for their skill, care, and compassion for their loved one during his time of need.
