Robert Dale Caris, Sr., 87, of Milton, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Mr. Caris was born in Loveland, Ohio to Harold K. Caris and Helen Elizabeth Slater Caris. He resided in Milton for almost 21 years. Mr. Caris was a World War II Army Veteran. He retired from Rockwell (Boeing) and the Department of Defense with over 25 years of combined service. During that time he worked on the Apollo Space Program and the Space Shuttle Program. Mr. Caris was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lynda Jean Hayden; a step son, Rodney Farris; and two sisters, Ann Griffin, and Sandra Mualler. Mr. Caris is survived by his wife of almost 36 years, Mable G. Caris; Son and daughter in law, Robert D. “Bob” and Suzanne Caris; two daughters, Roberta Lynn Wheeler and Teresa Elaine Sigda; step son, Wilson Blaine Kidwell, Jr; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and two brothers, Herbert W. Caris and Ernest George Caris. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, is entrusted with arrangements.
