Roberta Bell Temple passed away peacefully at her home in Milton, Florida, in the early hours of November 10, 2019, the day after her 88th birthday, which she had shared with much joy and love with her friends at the Margaret Street Church of Christ, and later, with her family. She was born November 9, 1931, in Edmonton, Kentucky, to Robert F. Bell and Martha Hill Bell; and lived there until her marriage to John Earl Temple, Jr., on March 12, 1955. The newlyweds settled in Milton and lived there throughout their 52 years together. Her life can best be summarized by a synopsis by one of her grandchildren: “Obedient Daughter, Dependable Sister, Reliable Friend, Diligent Student, Steadfast Christian, Devoted Wife, Loving Mother, Invested Teacher, Hardworking Employee, Relatable Coworker, Dedicated Grandmother, Trustworthy Elders Wife, Doting Great-grandmother, Faithful Servant. Well Done.” She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, a brother and sister-in-law, John F. and Shirley Demumbrum Bell, and her daughter, Martha Temple Todd (Glenn). She is survived by her sons, Mike (Renee’) and Ed (Suzie), Milton; sisters, Mary Alice (Leroy, deceased) Yokley, Edmonton, Kentucky, and Kate (Gary) Gerbitz, Chattanooga Tennessee; grandchildren, Mandy (John) King and Brittany (Brad) Parker, Milton, and Kiera (David) Keen, Tyler, Texas, Savannah (Eric) Schnell, John Blake (Anna Grace) Temple, and Hannah Temple, all of Milton; step-grandsons, Taylor(Michelle Ciccone) Plowman, Austin (Kassie) Plowman and Gentry Plowman. Great-grandchildren, Austin and Madilyn Stephens, Tyler, Tucker and Emerson Keen, Braxton and Bryant Parker, and soon-to-be-born Simon Schnell; step-great grandchildren, Jayden and Jonathan King, Paisley Hommerbocker, Aubree Plowman, and Lanee’ Plowman. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Margaret Street Church of Christ, Milton. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Margaret Street Church of Christ, with Lewis Funeral Home of Milton directing. Her grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow services in Serenity Gardens Cemetery, Milton.
