Ronald Gandy Obituary

Ronald Bruce Gandy November 13, 1952 – May 17, 2017 Ronald Bruce "Ron" Gandy was born Friday, November 13, 1952, and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. He was 64 years old. After service in the United States Army and a short stint in construction, he spent his career working at NAS Pensacola in the Public Works department. He was a faithful fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Most importantly, he was a Christian. He faithfully prayed for the lost and put feet to his prayers by giving away Bibles and sharing the gospel with lost people. He was by no means perfect, but he was saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Luther Aubrey Gandy and Maudelle Royals Gandy. Ron is survived by his wife of 39 years, Julie Gonzalez Gandy; three children, Kelly Gandy, Russell Gandy and his wife Rachael, and Nicholas Gandy; three grandchildren, Bianca Clark and her husband Dantrell, Walker Cavaluzzi, and Deborah Gandy; one great-grandchild, Georgia Clark; one brother, Van Gandy; one sister, Vicki Gandy; and one nephew, Damon Gandy and his wife Cathy. He is also survived by a dear uncle, G.C. Polk; and two special cousins, Brenda Waters and her husband Allen, and Karen Schebler and her husband Dan. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at First Baptist Church, Milton, with Rev. Nicholas Gandy, Dr. Jonathan Russell, and Dr. David Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., prior to the service. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Pallbearers will be Russell Gandy, Nicholas Gandy, Damon Gandy, Allen Waters, Dan Schebler, and Adam Schebler. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Food Pantry at First Baptist Church Milton (First Baptist Church, 6797 Carolina Street, Milton, FL, 32570.)
