Rosetta Lynn Milton, Florida Obituary

Rosetta Lynn

Rosetta Hall Lynn, “Memaw”, died peacefully at her home in Milton, Florida, on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at the age of 86. Rosetta was born on April 5, 1931, in Paducah, Kentucky, to David and Nola Hall. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Paducah and married her childhood sweetheart, Don Lynn, in 1953. After moving to Milton in 1958, she became a member of the First United Methodist Church. In Milton, Rosetta supported Don in his career as a teacher and administrator at Milton High School for 35 years. Rosetta was the Director of the Milton USO from the mid 1960s to mid 1970s, where she dedicated many hours to the servicemen during the Vietnam Conflict. Rosetta was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed researching all the varieties of birds she observed. She also enjoyed reading and gardening, but her proudest achievement was being Mom and Memaw. She loved swimming and playing with her children and grandchildren. Memaw was always eager to listen and discuss events in their lives. She was always a fun, loving nurturer that cared deeply for her family. Rosetta is survived by her children, Don Lewis Lynn Jr. and his wife Dorinda (Dellinger) Lynn, Gary Eugene Lynn and his wife Lisa Lynn, and Robert Edward Lynn and his wife Jonna (May) Lynn. Memaw is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Dorothy (Ricky), Celia (Michael), Sarah (Kurt), Gary Jr. (Amy), Kristina (Hernan), Alisha (Wesley), Rosetta (Matthew), Eddie and Ryan; and seven great-grandchildren, Juli, Lily, Trip, Sophia, Lila, Eleanor, and Matthias.
