Roy D. Salter, 75, of Milton, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Mr. Salter was a native and lifelong resident of Santa Rosa County. He was a well-known barber in the area for almost 50 years, and owned Roy’s Barber Shop. Mr. Salter is survived by his wife of 53 years, Grace Salter; three children, Sonia (Robert) Huffman of North Carolina, Mark (Michelle) Salter, and Dennis (Tammy) Salter, both of Milton; a sister, Nina (Rick) Morgan of Milton; and six grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mr. Salter will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Pace, with Rev. Mark Dees of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Springhill Methodist Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Pace, prior to services.
