Russell Watson Milton, Florida Obituary

Russell Watson

Russell David Watson, 60, of Pace, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019. He was born February 16, 1958, in San Bernardino, California, to Russell Antonio and Nancy Theora (Clinton) Watson. Russell accepted Christ at an early age and enjoyed sharing his testimony about his love of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with all he came across. He was a kind and loving man that would give you the shirt off his back if he could. Russell moved around during his childhood until settling in Milton, Florida, where he attended Milton High School; there he met the love of his life, Bambi Watson. The two were married shortly after graduation and have enjoyed each other’s love for 41 years. After high school he joined the Army and served for a short while; and then later transferred and retired from the Air Force as a Dental Lab manger. During Russell’s off time he enjoyed gemstone cutting, fishing and hunting. Those who knew Russ best, knows that “he is looking down on us from that big fishing boat in the sky.” Russell departed this world after a long fight the morning of March 29, 2019. Russell leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife, Bambi Watson; daughter, Jessica Moller, and her husband, Robert Moller; daughter, Heidi Taylor, and her husband, Michael Taylor; and six grandchildren, Dehgan, Hope, Chasen, Damein, Heaven and Nevaeh. He was also survived by his nephew, Jonathan Watson, and his wife, Crystal Watson, and their three beautiful daughters. He has many friends and family members that live throughout the world that will miss his wonderful spirit and funny stories. I know he is up in heaven looking down on all of us, pain free, and doing what he loves best, fishing. I can hear him now saying “Fish on, Fish on!” Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2019, at Barrancas National Cemetery, onboard Pensacola Naval Air Station, with Lewis Funeral Home directing. Please meet the family at 12:15 p.m., in the parking lot of Olive Baptist Church Warrington Campus (103 W. Winthrop Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32507). We will leave the church parking lot promptly at 12:45 p.m., to travel to the base.
