Sabino Go Oca, 85, died Tuesday, July 30, 2019, with his family by his side, in Milton, Florida. He was born November 11, 1933, in Talisay, Cebu City, Philippines. He was an active member of the St Rose of Lima Catholic Church and belonged to the Knights of Columbus. Sabino served in the Navy for 28 years and retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. His interests included spending time with his large family, gardening, and making people laugh. Mr. Oca is survived by his beloved wife, Edita Oca; his nine kids, twenty-one grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with a rosary starting at 7:30 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., August 9, 2019, at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 9, 2019, at Barrancas National Cemetery, onboard Pensacola Naval Air Station. Please meet the family at 12:30 p.m., in the parking lot of Olive Baptist Church Warrington Campus (103 W. Winthrop Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32507). We will leave the church parking lot promptly at 12:50 p.m., to travel to the base. Following the service, everyone is invited to the reception at the St Rose of Lima Church, St. Francis Room, beginning at 3:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made, in Sabino’s memory, to St Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
