Sandra Coon

Sandra James “Sandy” Coon passed away at home on Sunday, October 6, 2019. Born the daughter of Frankie and Billie (Peacock) Coon on May 26, 1976 in Ft. Benning, Georgia. Sandy was a 1994 graduate of Milton High School and went on to become a phlebotomist. Sandy enjoyed playing softball throughout her youth and high school years and was a member of the Softball Hall of Fame. In addition to her love of softball she also loved her animals and competed in barrel racing with her beloved horse Max. While Sandy was a true tomboy rocking her camo and being in the woods, whether it be 4-wheeling or hunting, she could also turn any head in the room when she let her girly side show. Her favorite past time was hanging out with all of her cousins. Those that knew Sandy appreciated her fierce loyalty and love for her family and close friends and her huge heart. Sandy was preceded in death by her brother, Jimbo; her maternal grandmother, Mabel “Sandy” Peacock maternal grandfather, Bill Peacock; paternal grandfather, James Coon Sr.; paternal grandmother, Francille Kelly; and cousins, Joe, Kerri-Anne, and Rayna Rose. She is survived by her son, Austin Hicks, of Milton; parents, Frankie and Billie Coon, of Milton; her faithful side-kick, Micco; numerous aunts and uncles; in addition to her favorite people in the world, Robyn and Shae; and her other beloved cousins. Visitation will be held at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton, on Saturday, October 12, 2019; with a family viewing from 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Family will accept visitors from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Graveside Services will follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery beginning at 4:00 p.m. Graveside services will be administered by close family friend, and minister, Wesley Williamson. In lieu of flowers donations can made in Sandy’s honor to your favorite animal charity.
