Mrs. Shelva Rentz Bowen of Sevierville, TN passed away October 2, 2016. She was born October 14, 1948 in Hahira, GA to Dempsey E. and Jean Wetherington Rentz. Shelva was a 1966 graduate of Columbia High School. She is preceded in death by her father, Dempsey E. Rentz and son, William Shiffman. Mrs. Bowen is survived by her husband, Irvin Bowen; her mother Jean W. Rentz; brother, Floyd (Mary) Rentz of Pensacola, FL; sister, Laura Parsons, Alva NC, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m.—6:00 p.m. prior to the service.
