Steven Michael Hobbs of Milton, Florida, was born November 9, 1955, and entered his heavenly mansion on Friday, October 31, 2014. He was a native and life-long resident of Milton. He was an avid football fan, as he would say, "Go Gators!" He loved to fish and watch Nascar races. Steve was preceded in death by his Dad, Thomas "Baby" Hobbs; Thomas Asa "Bubba" Hobbs, and great-nephew, Hunter Lee Asa Hobbs. Steve is survived by his son, Steven; daughter, Tiffanie; and granddaughter, Rachel; mother and step-dad, Faye and Jim Hogg; brothers, Thomas Larry Hobbs and Danny Hobbs; sister, Denise (Danny) Thames; his son's mother and friend, Sarah. He is also survived by 2 nephews, Drew and Dusty; 5 nieces, Patti, Brittany, Katie, Rachel and Krystal; 3 great-nephews; 4 great-nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Rev. Bill Wiley and Rev. Bruce Teston officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will be in Crain Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. Pall bearers will be Jimmy "Big" Moring, Jerome McDonald, Dehryl Hussey, Russell Bell, David Phillips and Bill Simmons. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob and Sandy Tomlinson, Barry and Meriel Fulford, Tommy Reaves, Mickey Smith and Bobby Teston. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Sacred Heart Hospital, Dr. Yazan Alsayed, Nurse Lucy and the staff of the Sacred Heart Cancer Center.
