Obituary
Susan Shipley Fishbaugh passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Susan was a long time resident of the Florida Gulf Coast. She lived an idyllic childhood romping on the beach and playing in the woods. This set the stage for her future passions. She graduated from Choctaw High School in 1961 and went on to get her B.S. in Nursing. Susan was a naturalist with a warm heart who loved to teach and share her interests. She pursued her passion for the outdoors by sailing, kayaking and hiking. She was an advocate for nature and the environment. She will be best remembered as a dedicated mom, grandmother and friend. She didn’t miss an opportunity to be involved with her grandchildren and their activities. The homemade cakes she made for special occasions were highly anticipated. She is survived by three daughters Lori Gonzalez (Buddy); Christie Bolton (Harry); Sandra Rozenblum (Danny); grandchildren Jared Gonzalez; Zack Gonzalez; Lyla Rozenblum; sister Carol Johnson (Bob); brothers Will Shipley and Steve Shipley; ex-husband Bob Fishbaugh; and many nieces and nephews. She believed in living life with positive energy and sharing that energy with others around you to make the world a better place. A private memorial has already been held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either of the following: Florida Wildlife Federation, 2545 Blairstone Pines Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32399 or West Florida Chapter of the Florida Trails Association, 531 Carmody Hill Road, Cantonment, FL 32533. Expressions of love and sympathy can be placed and viewed on line at www.lewisfuneralhome.net.
