Susanne Mowery

Susanne Mowery, 73, of Milton, Florida, ascended to her eternal resting place on July 8, 2018. Sue was a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother. Susanne was born October 3, 1944, in Johnston, Pennsylvania; she was raised in Johnston, and graduated from Johnston High School. She moved with her family to Beverly, New Jersey, in 1963. As a young woman she was active in her community and particularly enjoyed singing and performing. She performed for a time in local shows in the Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey areas. She had a love for animals and enjoyed horse riding. She was also a champion of the underprivileged and spent a large portion of her adulthood dedicated to seeking opportunities for those who were disadvantaged. As a traveler, she leaves behind friends from Connecticut to Texas. She had a kind, wonderful soul and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Mowery; mother, Sarah Mowery; and her oldest brother, Clair Mowery. She is survived by her loving daughter, Lois, and her husband Tom, of Milton, Florida; loving granddaughter, Ashley, and her fiancé Tim, of Raleigh, North Carolina; and two grandsons, Alexander of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Nicolas of Milton, Florida. She is also survived by her younger brother, Bruce, and his wife, Carol, of West Virginia; her niece Becca, and her nephew Bruce both of Norfolk, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made, in her name, to the American Kidney Fund.
