Sylvia Fay Elliott Obituary

Sylvia Fay (Nobles) Elliott, was called home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 22, 2015, with all of her children by her side. She left this world in the very same room she was born in, back on October 20, 1933.

Sylvia was a native of Santa Rosa County. She left this area after marrying Charles Elliott on October 14, 1950. The military took them to several duty stations in the United States and Europe, building their family along the way.

After military life, Sylvia and Charles made their retirement home in Hillsborough County, Florida. Sylvia returned to Santa Rosa County in 1978 where she remained with her parents until their passing.
Sylvia’s lifelong passion was her family. Having her family around her made her the happiest. Music was a big part of her life as well. She played saxophone in the marching band at Milton High School, and played piano for church. She enjoyed playing, up into the last days of her life.

Sylvia also loved keeping the farm, where she lived off Willard Norris Road, beautiful.

Her neighbors were her other family. She always made and took time to visit, be an ear, or help them out in any way she could. She felt “helpful” being needed.

Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents, Inaree (Chavers) Nobles and Perry Gillis Nobles; and her husband of 30 years, Charles Cebron Elliott.

She is survived by two brothers, Lamar Nobles and Harvey Nobles; three sons, Larry (Patty) Elliott, Andrew (Elizabeth) Elliott, and Jeffrey (Debra) Elliott; two daughters, Lisa (Rob) Allen and Cheri (Phillip) Robbins; eight grandchildren, Justin Elliott, Shannon Adams, Marcus Elliott, Jason Elliott, Jordan Allen, Matthew Allen, Megan Davis and Travis Robbins; eight great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church in Chumuckla. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., prior to the services. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, has been entrusted with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Regency Hospice.
