Thelma Few Obituary

Thelma Irene Eustis Few, 64, of Navarre, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018. Thelma was a fun loving, adventurous and part time dare-devil. If you needed a confidant, she was the one, able to keep a secret beyond all time. She was a fantastic cook, loving but strict Mom, raising two strong children with her ex-husband Jim Few. Thelma possessed a wonderful sense of humor and was able to laugh at herself, as well as, others. She also set expectations for herself, as well as, her friends and family members, expecting the best in herself and in them. Thelma spent most of her career working for the federal government, and spent six years serving in London and Copenhagen. She settled in Navarre, Florida, in 1996, where she began working at Hurlburt Field Airman & Family Readiness Center, as a financial counselor. While working, she went back to college, acquiring her degree in Culinary Management. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas B. Eustis; her maternal and paternal grandparents; and her uncle, Charles Mills. With sadness and love and cherishing her memory are her children, Christopher (Jaclyn) Few and Lindsay (Tom) Arnold; her Mother, Betty Eustis; her caregiver and partner, Tom Snyder; her grandchildren, David and Jason Few, and Blakeley, Kayla and Tommy Arnold; her sisters, Dee (Pat) Smith and Glenna Irvine; her uncle, Clayton Mills; nephew, nieces and many cousins. The family will have a private celebration of Thelma's life. You may share your expressions of sympathy with the family by making a memorial donation, in her name, to The Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (752 Lovejoy Road, Ft. Walton Beach, FL 32548).
