Edward Thomas Martin, best known as Tom, of Navarre, FL, passed away after a four year battle with cancer at the age of 73. He passed away peacefully under hospice care on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 8:35 pm.
Born Jan 14, 1943 to Donald & Grace (Butler) Martin, Tom was a proud 3.5 year US Navy veteran. He spent 40 years of his life residing in Miami, FL. His entrepreneurial spirit and endearing personality enabled him to develop three successful businesses, all from the ground up.
Tom was an active member in the Elks Lodge and local VFW chapters. Beloved by his friends and family, as well as all of his neighbors at Colonial Pines Mobile Estates & friends from his Biloxi, MS slot machine rooms. He will be dearly missed by all.
Tom is survived by his son Justin, daughter in-law Jessica, and grandson Bauer of Apopka, FL; daughter Nicole and granddaughter Payden of Slocomb, AL; brother Rick (Richard) of Navarre, FL; sister Janice of Phoenix, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
As was his request, Tom's remains will be interred at Barrancas Naval Cemetery in a small, private service at the end of the month. A “Celebration of Life” for all friends and family to join will be held at Colonial Pines Mobile Estates Clubhouse in Navarre on April 2, 2016. Guests may begin arriving at 1:00 pm.
