Toni Phillips

Toni Elysia Phillips, beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister, passed away at her home in Milton, Florida, on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. Toni was born on May 19, 1973, at Pensacola N.A.S. She was a vibrant spirit of only 46 years. Toni was an excellent cook and known for making many sweet and savory dishes (she had an extensive amount of recipes) for her family daily, as well as neighbors and friends for whatever occasion or holiday that came up. Toni was a graduate of Santa Rosa Adult School at Locklin Vocational/Technical School. She was the co-owner/operator of Endurance Flooring LLC servicing the Santa Rosa, Escambia and Walton county areas. She was a hard worker and kind soul that touched the lives of many people. Toni was preceded in death by her dad, Michael J. Cleghorne; grandfather, Milligan George Green; grandmother, Jonnie B. Green; uncle, Ralph R. Green, and his wife, Cathy Green; and her great aunt Betty Cooper. Toni is survived by her husband of 28 wonderful years, George C. Phillips; their daughters, Georgia M. Phillips and Porcha L. Phillips; two grandsons, Wyatt G. Paige and Conner C. Phillips; mother, Cheryl G. Cleghorne; sister, Amber R. Thompson; nephew, Brian J. Wilkes; niece, Kaylyn K. Thompson; nephew, Braxton C. Thompson; and Adam Spivey a son at heart. On Monday, September 23, 2019, there will be a small family viewing at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton, Florida, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Toni will be laid to rest at Barrancas Cemetery on Pensacola N.A.S at 2:00 pm. Please meet the family at 1:30 p.m., in the parking lot of Olive Baptist Church Warrington Campus (103 W. Winthrop Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32507). We will leave the church parking lot promptly at 1:50 p.m., to travel to the base.
