Victoria Long McCollough, 87, of Jay, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015. Mrs. McCollough was born March 30, 1928. She was a native and lifelong resident of Jay. She loved to fish; and although she had no desire to eat them, she loved to catch them for everyone else! She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Clayton Long and Vera Marie Taylor Long; children, David Lee Etheridge, Bruce McCollough, William Edward Etheridge, Carl McCollough Jr, Carol Marie McCollough; brother, Clayton Long; and a sister, Flossie Long Hemby (Rob). She is survived by children, Polly Etheridge Holland (Edsel), Linda Nelson Phillips (Roland), Patricia Etheridge, Brenda McCollough Thompson (Wayne), William McCollough, and Glenda McCollough Hayes; one brother, Junior Long (Myrtice); and two sisters, Annie Pearl Crews and Laura Louise Bennett. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., prior to the service, on August 13th at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2015, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Rev. Anthony Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery in Jay with Lewis Funeral Home directing. Mrs. McCollough's grandsons, Gary Wayne Madden, Henry Lee Madden, Terry James Madden and Clayton Willard Thompson; along with her great-grandsons, Brandon Chavers and Zachary Burnham, will serve as Pallbearers.
