V.K. Wiggins, 88, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 17, 2017, in a local care facility. Mr. Wiggins was born in River Falls, Alabama, to the late James and Frances Wiggins, and had lived in the Milton area for the past 55 years. He was a former heavy equipment operator with several paving and grading companies before working with Wadkins Construction at Air Products. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Milton. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII. He is survived by Charles R. Jones, Devan Jones, Melissa and Willie Nisewonger, Teresa and Charles McCranie, and Hannah Jones. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Rev. Fred Rogers officiating. Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., prior to the services.
