Mrs. Willa Foxworth Land, 90, of Santa Rosa County, Florida, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Willa taught school for 30 years in Santa Rosa County. She was an active advocate for teacher’s rights. Willa was Valedictorian of Milton High School in 1945. She was a proud University of Florida Alumni. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Bill Land; her brother, Al Foxworth; and two sisters, Elizabeth Kingry and Elsie Szilagyi. She is survived by her children, Martha Mason (David Norris), Robert Land (Terry), Sharon Powell (Bruce), and Bruce Land; six grandchildren, Burke Ritter, Travis Ritter, Jesse Smith, Brandy Ward, Kerry Land and Rorie Schmidt; and three great-grandchildren, Becky Ward, Emily Ward and Kolby Schmidt. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Rev. John Edwards and Rev. Fred Rogers officiating. Burial will follow services in Lewis Williams Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., prior to the services.
