William Stewart Obituary

William Randall Stewart, aka “Randy”, was born January 12, 1952, and died June 8, 2017. He was a lifetime resident of Pace, Florida, and graduated from Milton High School in 1970. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Stewart; daughters, Nichole Douglas and Kimberly Stewart; sister, Jacquelyn Calloway; brother, Michael Stewart; father, Jesse Stewart; and son-in-law, Brian Douglas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Lewis Stewart. He had many interests. He was a lifetime NASCAR fan and his all-time favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr. After discovering Dale Jr was retiring, he remarked that he didn’t know if he wanted to keep watching NASCAR if there were no Earnhardts in it. He loved World War II history, especially history concerning aircraft. He was a car man. He liked antique cars, enjoyed working on cars, and enjoyed reading about cars. In fact, he read quite frequently. Most of the books were about cars, World War II history, or biographies. He was a family man. He never joined a bowling league or spent time “going out with the guys”. His world revolved around his family and he made sure they were always taken care of. He cooked the family breakfast every Sunday morning and grilled every Sunday night. He led what some people might consider a boring life, but he felt there was nothing wrong with that and was quite content to stay at home. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel (4777 West Spencerfield Road, Pace, Florida 32571). Visitation will be held 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., prior to the service. There will be no burial/graveside service.
