William Tucker

Mr. William David “Bill” Tucker, 93, of Pensacola/Milton, went to be with his Lord, on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Mr. Tucker was born in Lancaster, South Carolina to Ward Jackson Tucker and Esther Caston Tucker. He had resided in the Northwest Florida area for a total of 16 years, after living in Rock Hill, South Carolina and he retired from Monsanto after 16 years of service. Mr. Tucker was a United States Navy Veteran, having served in World War II. Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Elizabeth Roberts Tucker, and his wife Juanita Davis Tucker. He is survived by his four children; Patsy Ann (Bill) Mowery of Stephens Point, Wisconsin, David Bryan (Nancy) Tucker of Millersville, Maryland, Joel Timothy (Susan) Tucker of Pensacola, Florida, and John Stephen (Denise) Tucker of Arnold, Maryland; 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Memorial Services will be 2 pm on Saturday May 2, 2015 at the Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel, with Rev. William Milam of Olivet Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at the Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel, prior to services. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Pruitt Health Center, Mr. Tucker’s special caregiver, Peggy Hoodless, and to Emerald Coast Hospice for all the care given to their father during his time of illness. The family request that in lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
