Willie “Brother” Reinhardt (Grandpa) was reunited with Grandma in the presence of our Heavenly Father, Thursday January 3, 2019. Willie was born to Roy and Leila Reinhardt August 20, 1925 in Bagdad, FL. He was the middle of three children. On September 21, 1944, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he went on to serve in WWII and Korea. On February 27, 1946, he married Mavis, his wife of 70 years. Their son Haywood was born in 1948. He went on to become a grandfather in 1971, a great grandfather in 1996, and a great-great grandfather in 2017. Grandpa was an active member of Bagdad First Assembly for many years and he loved the Lord wholeheartedly. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Lorene; his brother, Clinton (Clint), Sr.; and his wife, Mavis. He is survived by his son, Haywood Reinhardt; daughter-in-law, Shelia Reinhardt; granddaughter, Amy Reinhardt Shipley; grandson, Brian Bedsole; great-granddaughter, Samantha Shipley, great-great granddaughter, Lowyn; and nephew, Clinton “Chubby” Reinhardt, Jr., all of Milton. Funeral services and visitation will be held at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. Visitation for family will be Tuesday, January 8, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.; visitation for friends will be from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Bruce Chambers officiating. Burial will follow at the Bagdad Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chubby Reinhardt, Lewis “Tooie” McNair, Robert Hussey, Jim Kelley, Larry Williamson, and Dan Mitchem. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lloyd Fowler and the members of the Bagdad Assembly Women’s Prayer Group.
