Wilson Weekley, 86 was a native and lifelong resident of Santa Rosa County. He was the last of his generation and was the son of the late Allen and Bessie Weekley. He was a retired farmer and gave his turnips and collard greens away from his home off Munson Highway. He never met a stranger and always had a joke to tell. He loved to make you laugh. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William and James Weekley. He is survived by his wife and companion of 50 years, Essie Smith Weekley of Milton; two sons, Al (Ann) Parker of Foley, AL, Joey (Sissy) Weekley of Orange Park, FL; one daughter, Bonita (Ernest) Weekley of Milton, 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and several nephews. Graveside Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday, March 24, 2012 at Crain Cemetery with Rev. Danny Carnley. Visitation will be at Lewis Funeral Home from 11:00 – 12:00 prior to the service.
