Ralph Francis Boehner, 89, of Ocala, Florida, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at home surrounded by his wife of 67 years and family. He was born April 5, 1932 in New Haven, Connecticut, to Ralph Francis Boehner Sr. and Ethelda Carroll Boehner. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister Dorothy McGrath. He served his country honorably in the United States Army for 2 years, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant in the Korean Conflict. He worked for 38 years as a sheet metal worker at Pratt Whitney Aircraft in the North Haven and East Hartford locations, in addition to many other part time jobs to support his family. Ralph had an intense love for aviation, achieving his pilot license in the late 1980's. He loved boating and fishing, square dancing and motorcycle rides. In retirement, Ralph and Marilyn moved to Florida, making new friendships and memories, including extensive travel in the US and abroad. Ralph is survived by his wife, Marilyn Eaton Boehner, sister Betty Moore, daughters Mary Beth Davis (Gary) of Katy, Texas, and Laura West (David) of Plano, Texas; sons Russell Boehner (Sally) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, William Boeher (Cheryl) of Wallingford, Connecticut, Thomas Boeher (Laura Shipman) of Woodstock, Georgia; grandchildren Bradley Davis (Kate), Justin Davis (Rayetta), Allison Eubanks (Daniel), Samuel Wyatt, Hazel Eaton, Stephanie Boeher, Matthew Boeher, Daniel Boeher (Beth), Dana Boeher, Michael West, and Molly West; great-grandchildren Erin, Lisa, Jackson and Owen Davis, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Viewing hours are Sunday, May 23, from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Roberts Funeral Home West Chapel, 6241 Southwest State Road 200, Ocala, Florida 34476. Mass will be held on Monday, May 24, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Springs RCC, followed by a committal service with military honors at 1:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida, Reception to follow at the Boehner residence. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Marion County and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
