Memorial services for Mary Russell, 98, who passed on May 30, 2016 will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 11:00am at Grace Lutheran Church in Ormond Beach, where Mary was a church member for over 30 years. Pastor Dennis Koch will be officiating. Mrs. Russell was born in Albany, New York and lived in the Ormond Beach area for over 35 years. She was known throughout the area by her many friends and students as a nutritional lecturer, an aerobics instructor, and health advocate. She educated numerous audiences in both Ormond Beach and Buffalo, NY well into her 70s. She also ran in the annual Easter Beach Run in Daytona Beach in her later years and volunteered at various health related organizations. Mary was married to Raymond Russell until his passing in 1999, and is survived by her two sons, David Russell (Kimberly), Ormond beach, Larry Russell (Sharon), Ormond beach, 3 grandchildren, Lauren Russell Griffin (Radley), Tampa, Luke Russell (Stephanie), Fort Myers, Caitlin Chalkley, Ormond Beach, and 2 great-grand children, Finley and Nora Griffin.
