Jimmy Dale Roberson, 61, of Pace, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Haven Hospice in Gainesville, FL. Jimmy was born May 12, 1953 in Midland, TX and graduated from high school in Odessa, TX. He moved with his family to Pace in 1971. Jimmy was preceded in death by his life partner, Jeanette Ann Roberson; father, Bill Roberson; sister, Connie Jo Benton; niece, Caitlin Mae Clodfelter. He is survived by his mother, Mary Roberson of Pace; niece, Jayme Hatfield (Jason) of Piedmont, OK; great nephews, Jadon and Jaxon of Piedmont, OK; stepdaughter, Jeanette Michelle McKinley and grandchildren, Hannah & Jackson McKinley of Pace; two uncles; three aunts; and numerous cousins. Visitation for friends will be held at 1 PM on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Lewis Funeral Home Pace Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 3 PM at Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery on Chumuckla Hwy with Rev. Billy Fowler officiating. The family would like to thank the staffs of West Florida Hospital CICU in Pensacola, Shands Hospital CICU in Gainesville, FL, and Haven Hospice also in Gainesville for the love and care given to Jimmy and his family during his illness.
